    Tentacle take 2

Hey all A while ago I noticed a tentacle coming out of the shady area of the live rock and haven’t seen it for ages. Today the tentacle is black and large and seems to be picking up left overs off the sand bed! Does anyone know what this could belong to? Sorry for the poor quality but I just...

    Hitch hiker on Lobo base

I bought a Lobo that came with something on the base that is putting out a "fishing line" I expect for feeding. Not from the Lobo itself. I don't have a picture of where it's coming from, but the line is out pretty regularly. What might it be? I don't want to dislodge the Lobo to get a look...

what kind of crab is this?

Wondering what kind of crab is this? I think he was found on Florida LR (not sure). He’s got black tipped claws and somewhat hairy legs (as you can see), which probably means bad news.

    Mystery worm

Hey everybody I was hoping for some help in identifying these worms in my tank. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it! This is the best picture I could get. The worm seems to have a white dot near its neck and a white dot on its tail.

    Feather Duster on Turbo Snail

Help ID this hitchhiker? My turbo snail was giving the Nero 5 a good cleaning and I notice the red glow coming from the shell. Looks like a feather duster but I’m not sure if that’s the actual name or if it’s actually some sort of tube worm.

What are these? Eggs, snails or what?

I found these on the bottom of a ceramic plug rack that was on the sand. You can see a frag plug hole in one of the pictures. There seems to be a dark spot inside, it's not moving and one popped when I tried to flich it off

What is this hitchiker on my sympodium? Is it worth keeping or eradicating?

I got this sympodium plug from a LFS. Turns out it has this bright orange hitchiker. Looks kind of cool but I am wondering if it is good or bad. If it is good should I try to separate it from the sympodium so it stops getting stung?

    Please help ID

Can anyone help me identify this? I tried to catch it, and I started swimming away like an anemone. I have a history of hydrates in my tank, but I got a file fish, and he seemed to have fixed the situation. I had to get rid of him because he was starting to eat my corals due to lack of hydroids...

    Snail ID help

Today I noticed a snail crawling around on top of my Astrea snails shell. He must’ve hitchhiked along with some corals maybe? Idk, but my online searches haven’t proved fruitful. Could anyone help ID this little guy and whether he’s good/bad?

Hey I've been fascinated by these worms for about a year now and I'm finally wanting to get serious about finding one or two (my best friend also loves them, we are going to name our worms Nyx and Styx from Greek mythology) I know that species ID can be a problem so if at all possible I would...

    Biofilm? Sponge? Tunicates?

I've had this film/tubey structure encasing this rock for at least a year now, and I'm beginning to get curious of what it is. When I removed the rock from the water when transferring tanks in July, the film felt slimey but did not readily brush off. It seems to be inflated almost like a halo...

    Very small worm/critter on acan

I was brushing off an acan that is like 50% dead and I didn’t know why it was dying. All 4 other acans look fine. While brushing it off I noticed something shot out of it. Then landed on my rock. It was a worm of some sort so I used a turkey baster to suck it up and put it in one of my test...

    Need help. Nudibranch pest?

I haven’t added any new rock or coral to my tank in months but today I noticed a bright yellow nudibranch about 2cm long moving across the back glass of my aquarium. The back of the tank is rarely cleaned so it wasn’t easy to photograph it through the algae buildup but here are the vest photos I...

My ongoing battle with monti eating nudibranchs

So some background: Montipora are my favorite corals and thus I have stocked my tank full of all types of montiporas. More than half of my corals are montipora and they were all doing GREAT until a couple of weeks ago. My tank is a bit newer (a little less than a year) and so when two of my...
