Found this guy standing tall on my rock this morning. Unless I'm way wrong....aiptasia? Does anyone that has dealt with it have plan of attack? I'm sure I have a ton but this is the only one I've seen so far.

Found this guy standing tall on my rock this morning. Unless I'm way wrong....aiptasia? Does anyone that has dealt with it have plan of attack? I'm sure I have a ton but this is the only one I've seen so far.

Yes John aiptasia for sure.
Lots of ways to go about eradicating.
I've done hot water squirt but peppermint shrimp took all of mine out but they can go rouge too and are hard to catch.
My big tank has a lot too but no shrimp with a trigger.
Nudibranch work well too.
@kevgib67 very knowledgeable about those and @tbrown ,Timmy is really the expert.
Once they start they go for it.
My trigger will eat some of them believe it or not but hopefully Tim and Kev will chime in.

Thanks Joel! I definitely considered the hot water attack. It's kind of out there by itself, so that may be a good idea for me. I do currently have an opening in my tank for a shrimp. (I'm still gun shy about creatures with attitudes after the damsel incident lol). Nudibranchs are intriguing little creatures, I'm really looking into those too.

If you can, a single Berghia, turn off the flow, drop it right next to that right at lights out.

If there's no corals right there, you can also grab some boiling water in a syringe and inject boiling water right in the mouth.

Kalkwasser paste injected into the mouth will kill it but it can still spread babies if you don't get it quick enough and fully enough.q

Lemon juice also works oftentimes but you have to get it into the mouth before it retracts.

True Peppermint Shrimp will take care of it as well but they'll also eventually potentially turn to any hammers/torches/Euphyllia.

Boiling water is cheapest, easiest, fastest, and mostly safest if there's no other corals nearby.

Thanks Tim. I really appreciate this. Luckily it is way out by itself on a rock. I'll give the hot water a shot tonight after work. If this fails or i see anymore, I'll go straight for the nudis.

I remember the copperband butterflyfish would eat it too
