social media has from the beginning always made me uncomfortable. never participated in the myspace, facebook, etc etc. When i started reefing you had clubs, swaps, quality lfs nearby to meet people and share the hobby with, no social media needed. Now living in the boondocks and the age we are in, this is the only social interaction to the hobby for myself, and i assume many of us.

I couldn't agree more.
I grew up playing outside.
I had no TV until I was 14 and a rotary phone
The internet is good and very bad at the same time
Most social media I don't participate in and, honestly don't understand.
People used to talk to each other face to face, now you just tear each other apart on line.
It's weird for me.
This is the only social media I have and I never thought anyone would respond to this thread after my famous "I'm done " line
But now, you guys are the only friends I have and the way I make it through every day.

that is a pretty sweet size, reaching down 31 inches to get a frag that fell down into the only spot your tongs dont reach is fun also. 5 foot tanks always seemed pretty rare, find many used?

Yeah.
I've found 3 or 4.
Trying to decide if width is better or length.
Problem is most of these used tanks are hammered and I don't live in a big aquarium area, if you know what I mean.

I need to build a stand for my 15 gallon aio IM. How should I do it?

What tools do you have? You can check the beginning of my build thread to see how I made the stand for my IM 25g. I prefer using 3/4" plywood over 2x4 as it leaves you with more room inside.

My dad has lots. Drills, hammers, screwdrivers, lots of screws, no lumber yet, leveler, clamps and more probably.

I have never had ANY other social media than r2r, if you can even call it social media. I completely understand how you feel. I think this is why most of us feel so comfortable here. These folks welcomed me in with open arms and we do the same to you, just as you are, no strings attached.
