After lunch I made a quick stop. I saw this species only tank, absolutely stunning! When I upgrade I’m ditching the corals and replicating this tank. These beautiful little nems are pricey but the owner assured me they reproduce very fast ( actually it is the tank he keeps his peppermint shrimp in).

It does bring to thought though, have a tank where the bottom is covered in rock flower anemones. You can add anemone shrimp, clownfish and anemone crabs. Still have rock structure with other coral and a couple snails. The rock flowers don't really move much(from what I have seen) and can eat all the fallen waist and junk. Nothing would go to waste lol.

Using a gyre to get cross-flow, but the upgrade is moving to an MP40.

Looks like you're running similar flow to me. Mine's a 70 so not too much different than yours except mine's a 3' tank, not a 4'. I also have some flow hungry corals that are happy. If you're looking for something that looks prettier I can understand wanting to upgrade. But if it's working, I usually don't mess with it.

The one on the right has done nothing for me I feel like I have never had good coral growth. Never had anything really big.

I’ve been contemplating a RFA island when I upgrade. The 6-7 I put in my tank all wandered except for one.

You really had me excited in the beginning ha. At least they have banggai cardinals; apparently those are hard to get right now.

I'm not sure. If you want to get a torch or hammer, they require a more random flow so it couldn't hurt?

Well I manually removed the bubble algae. I found a vermitid snail on that rock as well. I just pulled everything off with tweezers, now we'll see how it goes.

I you start finding more pitho and emerald crabs eat bubble algae and bumblebee snails eat vermatid snails.
