Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Make the drive up I have plenty and @00W is on his way to pick up some birdsnest and monti frags. I got home early. Oh it’s byob, I’m down to only two cases of beer and don’t know when I’ll get out again due to the weather.

It's snowing again here. I'm gonna have to go to the grocery store soon.

I wish I lived closer.
I would have bought some corals from you.

I hope you learned your lesson and before next winter you stock up on alcohol, super glue and epoxy.

You can still make the trip, @Katrina71 and @00W are on their way. I have given away lots of birdsnest, gsp, and monti caps. I’ve sold a couple torches and frogspawn for next to nothing with the disclaimer that if anything happens to mine I’d get a frag back for the same deal. Oh ya it’s byob. I really like helping out other reefers and your in a pretty densely populated area, there have to be some like minded people if you reach out.

I may be the only reefer that will mix faux and real.
I had a Corona bottle that my dottyback lived in and defended with his life.
He finally passed and I took it out but it was in there for years.
All purple too.

I'm not sure what the new tank will be like. My tank is horrendous with Coraline, and Andrew can't grow it to save his life. The only difference is lighting.

No rhyme or reason.
My little tank has none, big tank won't go away. Same sump, same water same lighting.

If I ever take a trip to Ohio I will definitely stop by. You are about a 7 hour drive from me!
I have stopped by some local reefers houses to pick up some corals. They are always better than what you find at the LFS.

Exciting news
The yellow tang is in the observation tank and is so cute.
He is about 1.5-2 inches.
I would say he is more white than yellow but I heard that is normal.
He is super scared when I walk up to the tank. I tried to feed him but he was hiding.
Should I feed him nori?
Does he look healthy?
Is that white line down the center oh him normal?

Its been decades since I had a yellow tang but I believe the line is normal and kinda goes away after it colors up. Paleness my also be due to the stress of shipping and acclimating. I’ll let someone with more recent experience chime in.

Ok. Thanks

We have 5.
Try duck dynasty with a bit of anemic Billy Idol and that's 98% of the male population.
It’s a nice day for a white wedding!
