Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
@aquamedic305
Tank your size use just one return.
I've only ever used one. If you want another, @tbrown is the way to go.
Don't use return for flow, wavemakers/powerheads will take care of that. I run very little flow through my sump.
Sump won't back siphon/overflow any more water than how far your return is under water.
My return is right at the surface. You can test that when you get the system running.
Run it then turn it off. Then you'll know.
Everything looks great so far. :)
I am bare bottom but when I did sand a couple of times I did rock, sand, water.
Put a small plate/bowl/bucket and poured water into that. Sand will settle out in a couple days .
Best I found after 40 years is tubing hooked to a pump and pump the water in.
Better control, slower than dumping.
I've mixed salt in the tank and before, no worries either way just keep salinity the same.
If I were to do it again I'd heat all the water first.

I have never had one. I do know people that have and they were tank bullies.
Yeah I've heard the same thing.
Puffer just didn't look good yesterday and wife just loves this hawkfish.
Only other one in there is the clown and she's not only a bully but a killer too.
Hummmm :thinking-face: :thinking-face:

I'd go for it

Mushrooms can move like a nem btw. It's usually babies that detach and float around. Just thought I'd tell you in case you didn't know.
I didn't! It's going to be so cool watching things move around on their own. Hopefully they will end up in good places. Lol
