Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Does anyone have advice on plating and encrusting montis? I love the look of them both if I could keep the plates fragged down. I'd really love to add some encrusters, but is it even worth it in a 40? Will they basically just encrust my whole scape and other corals? I'm baffled by these particular corals.

So I just thought about something and kinda feel bad. This is a safe space and I didn't realize people had posted weird al as something they liked. I have a different sense of humor and really don't understand the appeal of many popular comedy.
No worries my friend!
This is a family no judgment passed that's why I love all you guys!
We just let each other be who they are.
You are a part of the family now too.

@Nor'easter Reefer Here's the favia. If you look in the lower left hand corner, you can see a piece of my leptoseris that broke off when I moved it lol. Also from the top, the favia looks like a sesame street character

I just keep mine fragged down in my 32 g. They are fast growers so expect to frag.

I love it Kevin. It looks like you're able to keep a nice shape after it's fragged? Do you just chip it off with coral cutters?

I just took this picture now and fragged it end of last month/ beginning of this month. They are like potato chips, I use my fingers mostly. If I’m trying to get a decent sized one to glue to a frag plug I use bone cutters.

Wow it heals nicely. I can get a good picture of what youre talking about. Is it in lower par? It seems very light tolerant.

It's not free unless you buy a certain amount. But all shipping is combined, so you only pay one shipping fee. Thats standard across the board pretty much

I love the yellow and turquoise contrast. Favias are really cool corals, they need a little space because they can sting, but the growth patterns and colors are terrific. I'm looking forward to seeing that lobo

Im becoming more and more fond of LPS lol :grinning-face-with-sweat: I was gonna go mostly sticks but the more it see the more it like LPS with a little bit of sps. I'm pretty pumped for the lobo too. It's orange exterior with a turquoise center. One polyps the size of a oreo roughly for $45. Based on what I see online that seems fair irrelevant of the coloration
