Super upset, irs is getting me for a substantial amount and I’ll have at least a 600.00 month payment for sometime. So I don’t think I’ll be able to afford the hobby. Bought almost everything too.

Sorry to hear that! I do mine on the cheap cheap. Most of my equipment is won or used so cheap or free. Fish and food/salt/supplements are the main cost for me so maybe $50 a month on average.

Mine is salt and food, don't really use supplements, buy carbon/other stuff in bulk so for me maybe $100??? per month?

You got it all.
You seem really into it and smart enough as well.
Slow and patient is the best way to go in this hobby. Rushing stuff never works out.
Could be good for you to go slow.

Then you'll be limited on livestock anyway. Tangs are mostly too big - Tomini stay smallish and are affordable, clowns can get on sale at Petco, Gobies and Blennies aren't super pricey, etc.

Agreed.
You can do this hobby as cheap or expensive as you want.
In the beginning you don't need a whole lot anyways.
I've seen both ways work just as well.
