Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
yeah, I need to reach in and do a bit of hedge trimming soon. This time of year when the room is much brighter is when the grass grows better.
I'd leave it! It looks cool. I have some of the same type on some of the TBS rock I bought.

Happy Birthday Flames GIF

Saw this John and I thought I'd send a belated birthday GIF for your viewing pleasure! :face-with-tears-of-joy:
Hahaha it's never too late for a fire farming bear, Keith! Good morning friend

Ok, so John sent me a worm culture. I have coconut coir for the substrate. What else do I do with them? I know Kevin will answer "feed them to your fish"... however, what about husbandry? Feed them? Put a small screen in there? Play Beethoven's 5th?

the only thing is if I leave it too long, it breaks off its;f then gets stuck at the vent to the overflow and will get a little spike of ATO dump that isn't evap and cause the overflow drain to gurgle. but it is a nice green.

I think whole wheat bread.

Missing my daughter already... :crying-face:
She misses you too Joel, I promise. You've raised someone who has the will and desire to make her own way in this world. Be proud (and sad, that's ok). I think it's normal to experience mixed emotions here. You can be happy for her with a tear in your eye my friend. ❤️

I posted this before but watched it again after my culture arrived. The squares are knitting mess, plastic. Video below.

@Rocks reef This was a great video, but I found that the yogurt fouled my media quicker than not using it. My best advice is remember these are worms, something that thrives in dirt. We're so used to being overly technical with everything about our reefs that we may try to apply that to everything. My advice is: Keep them cool, moist and in the dark. Throw them some bread every now and then, and try not to add so much bread that it gets fuzzy. If it does toss it.

I’ve actually had the opposite experience, I did a portion of bread and yogurt, equal and the yogurt was completely gone and the small portion of bread left was starting to get mold. Hmmm.

Ok sir. Thank you again for sending those!
