What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Good morning Smorg! Meant to post this before. This was at the wedding, all my wife’s friends from high school, class of 1986. They and a few others.

I love things like this so thanks for posting it.

Speaking of high school, this is my dad’s high school ring from 1952. He died in 2021 and my mother gave all of his jewelry to my brother. I was able to get this ring, from my brother, very recently. As such, we had it resized so I could wear it as a pinky ring. We got it back from the jeweler just this past Friday.

(Pay no attention to all the lines on my hand as there aren’t any. In actuality, my hands are as smooth as a baby’s bottom because I use Palmolive. (Sorry to all the young folks as you may not get this reference to an old Palmolive commercial.))

That is awesome! Sorry about your father, I lost mine unexpectedly in 2021 as well. I never worried about him, he was very up on his health, played tennis twice a week for as long as I can remember. He had a clay court at his house and go to an inside facility in the winter. I talked to him for about 40 minutes on a Sunday. Him and my stepmother attended a black tie wedding. On Wednesday he woke and couldn’t move his left side, he passed away a few days later in hospice. I have a chain with a gold cross that contains his ashes.

You know it, brother!

The only time I will ever take it off is when it will be absolutely necessary.

When it was resized, the jeweler had to add “quite a bit of gold to it.” I’m 6’4” and weigh 255. You see, my dad, while being small in physicality (5’ 3”) had a BIG personality. Right after high school, he enlisted in the army to join the effort in Korea. He wore a size 28 pants. When he went through medical screenings for the army, he tipped the scale at 127 pounds. Still miss him everyday.

Good morning and happy Sunday everyone! Another busy day for me with church, finishing up packing/cleaning! Finally getting to move into our new house soon so it’s crunch time for me and @AlyciaMarie, haha.

Anyways here’s a fun one for today!

Just finished church. The sermon was on miracles. There was at least 150 people and only 5-6 prayer partners we had to call other staff to help with prayer. Incredible

I think you got plenty of that personally. Physical stature aside, our dads will always be giants to us. Mine was a 6'5 160lb bean pole lol. He was offered a full scholarship to Notre Dame to play basketball. I lost him in 21 as well. To this day I still think to call him when something happens in my life.

Your Dad sounds like a cool and charismatic man. Probably where you get it from? I could only imagine how tough it was to lose him in such an unexpected manner.

Ya, like you he was my go to when I reached a Y in the road. Phenomenal sense of humor and in his town of Westport CT people jokingly referred to him as the Mayor of Westport.

And if that’s not enough, the Mrs is working, how about a podcast of cooking low and slow with Kev? The garlic wasn’t in the recipe, but you know me by now.
