Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Sorry, I don't know what that is either. It is like a meat pie?
a meat pie is more of a apple pie with meat in it. I guess you could say this is a giant hamburger. tastes great the following day thin sliced, cold, between two pieces of buttered bread.

Is it baked in the oven? Let me find a recipe for it.

Get a "meat loaf pan" from a store (supermarket, Walmart etc...) Glass is easiest for cleaning, metal or disposable aluminum foil. It's essentially a bread loaf pan. ~10"x5"x4".

Prep.. 10 min. Cook... 1 hr Ready in....1hr 10 min.

Ingredients:
1 McCormick Meat Loaf Seasoning
1-1/2 lbs ground beef
2 eggs
1 onion, chopped
1 cup milk
1 cup dried bread crumbs
----------
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. In a large bowl, combine the beef, eggs, onion, milk, seasoning pack and bread crumbs. place in a lightly greased (buttered) 5x9 inch loaf pan.
3. Bake at 375 degrees F for ~1 hour. (temp check for beef)
4. last 15 minutes baste with ketchup

They also have a recommendation for a mustard spread on the package but I never liked it.

just sent. it's easy. but takes 60-90 minutes pending how thick you make it. you can also mix frozen peas or corn into it as well. just don't put a lot in because it will fall apart and not stick together. I use like 80% beef/fat mix.

That's interesting. Ive never tried it like that. I do reheated in the skillet with mayo on the bread. ...maybe some more ketchup

oh yeah, try it. just slice the butter like 1/8" and put it on good ole white bread. thin slice the the loaf like 1/2" and cold sandwich. you could do a little ketchup for some extra moisture. I grew up with that. I also remember the pork chops in the frying pan and using the bread to soak up the grease and fry it a bit for toasted.

And no, that's not why I have high blood pressure!

@luis angel this is what the packet looks like. in any grocery store seasoning section. ~$2. they have a recipe on the back too.

Mccormick Meat Loaf Seasoning Mix, 1.5 Oz, 3 Pack
Thank Paul, I'll look for it in the next few days to prepare it.

I think traditionally people serve this with steamed peas and mashed potatoes if you want to go all out 1950'a American meal.

Looking at that photo makes me realize even more that this hobby is never all about progress, sometimes the tank takes steps backward, what you really need is a lot of patience. The same thing is happening with my toadstoo, it's coming back.
