We finally made it to the Gulfport Harbor Lights festival tonight. I know Christmas is over, but it's a yearly tradition and they keep it open until new year's eve. You can see the Saltwater theme lol

It looks you two had a great time!!

I just pitched 3 of these this week. Sadly, I cant keep gonis alive. Ill figure it out though. Has to be something im not dosing. Honestly, I find acros to be more hardy than gonis. But yeah man that's how mine all ended up looking. I hate to see this.
You pitched three of your gonis brother?

Morning y'all!
It's Monday...
Peace ✌️

Good morning Joel, take the day to recover and for the love of god stay out of the Kitchen!

And you have succeeded. You made a difference in my day by correcting it. I was starting to think I was living in the future... and didn't even know it.

Off her meds is right. They're predicting it will go below 40 degrees here tomorrow night. I don't know how I'll make it through so wish me luck.

This Goni. It's not dead yet. 20251228_203520.jpg
Partial tank shot.
Is the goni getting enough light and flow? The algae took hold on the dead exposed skeleton, it won't grow on living tissue. You can try a weak peroxide dip. I'd start with 1/2cup peroxide to a half gallon of water... I'd try to get the algae off it before it smothers it. Leave it in just long enough for the algae to start bubbling. Don't rinse it, just put it back in the tank. The peroxide won't hurt anything in the tank. It may make somethings close up a bit though.

Here you go Bob !
Rocky has the answer .

I have a nero 3 on random. (About 1300gph) and a hygger 2600gh on the opposite side that are only slightly offset from each other. Theyre both on random all day and night. Here's where I placed them.

Remind me what size tank you have? Mine is a 40 cube which was not easy to flow.

I have the same Hygger, silent and easy to program, love it. For the price you can’t beat it.

Good late morning my friends
Morning John, love the pictures from last night! You have more facial hair than in the video the day you went down to the docks to get shrimp.

Than I wouldn’t worry .but I thought they took 100 to 150 par
I might be getting 100+ on the sand bed for most of my tank.

My fear is too much light.
Could be, but the only way algae can grow on it is if there is no living tissue. My gonis get between 275-300 PAR and are thriving. I know what many say... but... they can and do acclimate quite well. They also get flow to where their polyps are moving vigorously.

Right where I circled in yellow!

Side note, I'm really not sure what those pics are to the right of Grinch. I am honestly afraid to ask nor am I going to zoom in.

I have one of those as well, I bought it to push random flow over the acro frag rack. I couldn't justify dropping the coin for another MP-10. It works quite well for the price, I was impressed with it.
