Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Is there a starfish that can live long term in our tanks? I love the red and blue ones that I see posted but have read they often die even in well established tanks. I have had my serpent starfish for over a year now i think and he seems to be doing well but I would like to add a pretty starfish if there is one that will survive.

I would love one as well but other than brittle and serpents I don’t know any that live long in our tanks with the exception of chocolate chip starfish which to my knowledge aren’t reef safe.

Chocolate Chips are definitely not reef safe. They are carnivorous buggers that don't belong in the hobby.

Good morning Tom! I guess they are only good if you keep them alone in its own system so you can chop off a leg now and again to feed a harlequin shrimp. The most beautiful shrimp but that’s way too much work for this old guy.

They're everywhere to the point Petco sells them here. More common then bristle and serpants in my area... I wonder how many people have bought them without research and got burned.

They are kind of neat but they'll eat anything they can sneak up on.

A quick reminder for everyone; today is International Women's Day. Not celebrated as much here as in Europe but maybe we can start to change that.

Happy International Women's Day to all the ladies!
