Finally got got what I needed to start the garden, much later than usual. I almost decided to skip it this year but then I thought, what would Paul say “ better late than never kid come July you would have regretted it “ and I would have said “you know you’re right Paul, I hope I’m as wise as you when I get your age in a decade or so.”

We just put in some vegetables today also. Was procrastinating.
I think we will both be glad we did it later.

Managed to plant the rose bush. Husband dug up a couple of non producing bushes. Then planted all his vegetables.

The rose is Henry Fonda. Hope it does well. I watered it in well. And will continue to deep water it at least once weekly.

I wonder why the names it "Henry Fonda." It is well documented that Henry Fonda was all thorns and no flowers in real life.
