Honestly, some cultures will eat anything. I mean who was the fist person to try those critters as food? Now then you have the French. Who tried the first snail and reported it was good to eat? My guess is a small child in both cases...they like dogs will put anything in their mouth!

I was about 3 or 4 when I tried to eat a snail and it was not at a French restaurant. One of those big land snails in California...yuck! Cured me of ever wanting to eat Escargot. Did I mention my mom was 1/2 French...I blame it all on mom!

I love escargot but I suppose if I put butter and garlic on gravel I would love that also.
