They don't need a bubble as they breath from the air what is the temperature now? I would lower her water to make it easier for her to get to the surface. And it's my understanding that you can use the saltwater test on freshwater but the readings won't be as accurate. Does he stomach look swollen?

Good morning, I good sign your ammonia is being converted! Although nitrites are not a factor in salt water their presence will give you false high nitrate reading. You are probably cycled and just need to do a large water change. If it was me I would get an ammonia test and test just for piece of mind.

Looks like an established tank nitrate reading which is good.
Fish may be just old or some other type of stressor but not likely with no other fish.
Shouldn't be any ammonia especially with nitrate reading like that.

I used to keep Bettas too. Had a mustard gas male in a 2 gallon next to my kitchen sink. He was named "Urban Decay" one afternoon, I apparently startled him and he died instantly. I assumed a cardiac event. I still feel bad about that.

The TV dinner paved the way for Moms to work and still manage to get dinner on the table.

I never ate a TV dinner, never saw one in my house as a kid. Never saw one or knew what one was until I understood food shopping. My grandma would never LOL...and to this day I never even tried one...along with a lot of stuff you all mention you like...I know I know I am freak...lol
