I know the sand looks bad lol, I clean it and it looks like that again, what do you recommend?

The sunlight always makes it look surreal and everything looks so happy.

Last week I put 20 blue leg hermit crab plus the tuxedo urchin, yes I have seen a change but we have to wait a little longer, now I moved the corals from the sand to the other side to see what happens in the next few days, some more corals are coming this weekend, but I still don't know which ones lol

I've been bare bottom since the early 90s, either rock or trickle filter.
Never cared for/liked sand. Too dirty.
I always had big fish with high flow, pointed it down and viola, no poop. ;)
Was gifted my LTA which has to have sand, she's not a rock nem.
Knew nothing about nems,sand corals.
Nothing.
So in the sand went to my little tank and I change it out and add more a couple times a year now.
I'm used to the look in there now and don't really notice it much.
I put sand then Aragonite on top and it seems to last longer.
Like I said Luis, I didn't notice your sand at all, was looking at all the other cool stuff. :smiling-face-with-sunglasses:
I want to try some harder corals but I dunno...:rolleyes:

I want to try at some point too but I want to do it when I start changing the water every 2 weeks and see that everything is stable for a while.

I don't know anything about sps, well about almost nothing lol, but can you look for some sps that are easiest, if there are any? And start there so that you gain confidence

@tbrown , look what I came across driving from the doctors office to the infusion center. Not open yet but I looked inside and it is just about finished. Can’t find it on google or Gruhub. Can’t wait to see if the Swiss mushroom burger is as good as I remember.

I love their Frisco burger!
