Back in the mid 90’s when we had great live rock, cheap, I could spend an hour with a flashlight after lights went watching everything that came out of the rock at night. Back then we didn’t have frag plugs and every coral came on a piece of small live rock bringing new life to the tank.

remember doing that a lot especially with a red flash light we had. the giant 10 ft long bristleworms coming out of every hole in the rock lol

the last couple morning this sweeper has appeared out of the rock, disappears when the lights come back on. cant see what it is...

It was almost as fun watching the tank at night , with the fish sleeping and corals closed as watching it during the day with lights on.

Well awhile back I told you that my son’s company was sending him, some other engineers and some manufacturers to France for two weeks to get the machines they built set up, running and troubleshoot any problems that arise. Took him over 50 hours to get there. The last machine sent was never tested before it was sent and has been a huge problem as they don’t have the parts to get it running. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks. They had been working 12 hours every day. My son convinced his employer he and his team needed a day off and yesterday was his first day not working. The head of the company they are at told his employer due to federal law they cannot work more than 46 hours a week. My son has been sounding much happier especially since his employer told them they are going to be there an additional 2 weeks and they are sending some additional employees from manufacturing over to help.

Thank goodness they're getting more help!
Whole thing sounds super stressful hopefully they get everything sorted out!

Could they be brittle starfish legs? I have tons of micro brittle starfish and their legs are always sticking out of crevices and waving in the flow.

46 hour cap is awesome for your son! I commissioned an industrial plant many years ago and there was no cap on hours, worked Jan-Aug without a single day off and slept in the control room under a desk a few nights. ugh even got a haircut on site a few times.

really hard to get a pic, if i put a light on it retracts. very thin, curly que, stretches out several inches. Can see three now from different rocks.
