Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Will do. Trust me I've tried lol. It's not whipping that's for sure, what will happen to the smaller pieces that broke off will they die? Tempted to put them in a jar with sand and saltwater and put a lamp over it...
If you catch them and put them in a cage, they might grow, depending on how much of them there still is.

A couple medium sized healthies I've got extra saltwater why not!

I'm definitely not gonna put shrimp or anything in it but do you guys think if I open a bag of sand I can get all the air out of it and make sure it gets reclosed or something? So it's good when I set up my nano

Hi everyone just got home from the nursing home they called the family in for my mother in law. The hospice nurse thinks she may go within the next day or so. Letting you guys know if I disappear for a bit don't worry I will be back. Hugs to you all and prayers for my family are much appreciated.

Thank you my friend. I'm exhausted both physically and emotionally from crying.

So far so good. Everything is open, the scoly had an aiptasa that I used the demel to remove. Forgot how quick things can open up and look good when they are not dipped right away.

Those are lovely!

Anyone wanna provide a Christmas miracle and sell me or donate a decent reef light that won’t break my bank or get me divorced. I really want to introduce corals soon but need a starter light to get me going. Figure I ask here :)
Whats the size tank?

Sending prayers your way. Sorry Amanda... hugs to you and all your family.

Would adding pompom algea or some other algea help lessen or clear hair algea?
It'll compete with nutrients, so yes, it may have an effect on GHA.

I was thinking it might. Kind of like adding more plants to a freshwater tank to out compete unwanted algea in them.
