Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Pretty good. Apologies for late response. I just got done off Xbox. Tank wise we are almost GHA free. I need to prevent where my extreme bald spots are and get the small little pieces near my coral out. Also I think my toadstool is dying or dead. He hasn't opened up in a few days not :(
Im very happy to hear about your succes with the gha, because youve really worked hard for that. Bad news about the toadstool. Could it be shedding?

@kingranch2003 I know that each tank is different and has different parameters, but normally there are some parameters that are almost the same in all tanks. I can tell you this from my own experience. My tank has always had high nutrients and even if we see it perfect somehow. Now that I lowered the nutrients, especially Po4, I realized that in just a few days, 1 hammer and 2 torches already have new heads. My recommendation is that you raise that magnesium, to at least 1300 or 1350 minimum, just my humble opinion
Im gonna have to test my magnesium tomorrow. All this talk has me interested in what mines at lol

I’m not sure when it starts but I’m pretty sure I’ve never made it. Mostly for the snobby non eastern coast reefers.
Yea its way past my bed time already.

Toads shed their stools? Interesting

It never ends... or starts.... it is, and it isn't. It’s an attitude not a platitude, you dig? (That's hippie talk for you younger reefers)

Be truthful. You're sitting in front of your tank with the midday lights on right now aren't you?
No, that'd be rude to my sleeping fish, I have an infrared head lamp and I'm sitting about 6" away. Otherwise I'd be in bed :face-with-tears-of-joy:

And a very valued opinion. There is no denying the fact that you're doing everything right. I agree with you that every tank is completely unique. I can't keep my nutrients up, OR grow bam bams lol. I appreciate your take, Luis. I do believe I will start dosing it and see what happens. I'm encouraged by the fact that you saw such quick results. It's almost like you freed them up to grow better and quicker.

Good night late night reef nerds! Due your nerd stuff so I can read about it tomorrow! This is my new coral that I’m acclimating.

You have a beautiful tank John, I'm not telling you to change your entire routine and your tank for a coral, but you can try adding a little Mg to see how the tank reacts in general, I am the first to think that one should not change all the parameters of the tank for a single coral but raising the Mg a little will not hurt the tank and if you see something strange just stop dosing and that's it ;)
