Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I hope so, my wife won my heart. :winking-face:
Wow! Kevin comes out and crushes a homer to deep center field! Nice play sir, nice play. See, I always knew you were a ladies man!

My mother sang this one to my brother and I when I was 3 or 4 years old.

Oh man I love it Wes!! My Dad would sing stuff like this to us as kids. :) Lot's of Hank Snow, and Blue Eyes Crying in the rain

Im kinda in the market for new lighting. KINDA. Basically I would like new lights but I wouldn't like to spend the money on them :grinning-face-with-sweat:
So am I. I'm torn between metal halide with quanta meso blue bars, using the Kessil a360x's I have with a quanta 14K bar... or picking up a Meridian 35. But... .that light is almost $1000!!

Ditto. I'd rather give an extra frag to someone that I know. Luis is the same way too
I'm the same. Heck, I sent John Cipro for his tank... I've given away more corals than I've sold.

I know what you mean Tom, I was in fishing chats for a couple of years, believe me that is a very dark hobby when it comes to sharing fishing secrets, I am always the same person everywhere , I shared stores to buy cheaper and fishing spots, and there were people who wrote me private messages insulting how I was going to share those locations, once a person came to look for me to fish and when we got to the place he almost took me blindfolded and almost made me promise not to share the location, that's also why I have been away from that world for a while, whenever I want to fish I go alone and that's it, that was a very toxic world and I'm not like that, with its virtues and defects I think that this community is the best that exists and I'm not only referring to Smorgasbord but to everything in the forum in general, I love the people here very much and that is one of the reasons, that they do not keep anything for themselves, be it knowledge or something material, and that is rarely seen today
You nailed it about fishing. Of course I'm not the type to post my fishing spots on Facebook or IG. Of course I have neither of these platforms. But I will never hesitate to take someone or teach them.

Good afternoon Mike, how is life treating you this glorious Monday?
Suns shining and im outside in a t-shirt. Pretty darn well sir. Yourself?

I have 2 viparspectra and I was thinking about 2 47" quanta meso blue but they are out of stock 🤷‍♂️ wish lights were more affordable lol. I throw out led light fixtures at work everyday, wish they could grow coral haha

Which reminds me! Looking a little better Keith

100% don't blame them lol
Idk, if your in a remote area and someone can spend an hour or 2 comparing tree lines on Google maps to your picture I feel like they probably deserve it lol. I don't post fish pictures on Facebook either though.

So I'll say this for what it's worth. I had several of my oldest healthiest corals begin to decline. Two Cynarina, acans, two torches, two hammers, and a couple zoas, even my plate. Keith sent me some cipro to treat the euphyllia. I was beginning to get discouraged, thinking I was about to lose everything. I tried to put my finger on what it could be. Then I made the connection that all of this had begun AFTER I got a peppermint shrimp. I still may never know for sure what the cause was, but several days after the removal of the shrimp, EVERYTHING looks better. Even my big hammer, that I thought was completely gone, is inflating again. I may never know for sure who's fault it was. All I know for sure is the shrimp didn't eat aiptasia and my corals look happier with him gone.

No lol, I'm not talking about sharing it with the whole world, but we were supposed to be in a chat to help each other and learn, believe me when I tell you that those chats were becoming increasingly toxic, to the point where you couldn't even share what kind of knots to use at certain fishing spots, crazy lol
