Alright I’m sold Tom I could use a short road trip myself. Which one is it!

Third one down Kevin, W. Frye Rd. While your there, might want to pick up a bagel box as well (13 bagels of your choice) and a pound of cream cheese (also your choice). If you need a little more bottom I highly recommend their Pastrami on Rye, best I've ever had. Text me when your 40 or 50 miles out and I'll meet you.

Edit: forgot to mention, if you opt for the Pastrami on Rye be SURE they include the side of pickles (free) and for a little more they have several potato salads that are all good.

Just an FYI since you seem to like Ford pickups. If you yell 'Bansi' while hitting a curb at a 90 degree angle at 50 mph or so in an old F250 4x4 dualie, it is possible to tear the front suspension completely off the truck. Other than that though the truck is still good to go. Just thought you should know in case the mood strikes...

Somehow the Cubans keep the 1950’s Chevys running even though they can’t get parts from the US, I think they make the parts themselves. Your statement is not correct, you should have seen my Chevy that I drove to the levy only to discover that the levy was dry. But I met a few good old boys, they were pretty hammered.
Although it is true that Chevrolet does not export to Cuba because of what Fidel stole, they can get some aftermarket parts or have a relative send them, but the only thing left of most of those Chevys is the bodywork, almost all the parts are adapted or from other brands.

Uhmmmm......😵‍💫😵‍💫I suspect doing 50 straight into a curb would be contraindicated for most normal pickups of any make...

You have a point sir!

But I clearly yelled 'Bansi' first so the truck was properly warned in advance, only a second or two but enough to brace itself for the 'launch'.

Yup, in a hurry to get an ice cream after spending two hours in an all metal storage unit in Phoenix in the middle of summer. I plead temporary insanity.

Great car, my personal favorite from that era though was my 1964 Buick Riviera. Great engine and when the muffler got torn off in a pot hole and I replaced it with glass packs coming out under the doors my neighbor 5 doors down said they used my starting the car to go to work as their alarm clock.

I may try yours instead.

I only remember yelling a hearty 'Bansi' while driving three times the first went okay. although my brother refused to ever get in a car I was driving again. The second ended up trying to explain to the police why my 62 Caddie convertible was firmly wedged between the sides of two houses. The third I've already mentioned...
