Leds are not my thing but I've done a ton of research on a few brands.
Kessils are great quality but I think yours are too small for your tank.
You could keep them and add some T5's or maybe a stronger led to complement.
I tried leds for a bit but went back to T5's.
Not much help but that's what I got Cam.

What is wrong with LEDS exactly?

I'm trying to get back into running, so I ran a mile today. After that, I felt motivated, and so I did an 8 mile bike ride. I'm happy that I decided to do those because it really helped my mind refresh. Like I've said before, these past few weeks have been rough, but man, it's amazing how being in nature and being active can really help my mental health. I'm going to try to run a mile almost every day from now on, potentially increasing the milage as I get better at running. Anyways, I hope you all had a nice day today.

Good on ya buddy, I hate running haha but I definitely could use some cardio.. my only cardio i ever did was supersets in the gym when I was lifting. Gotta get back into that soon too lol

Well, nutrients arent awful. 17.4 nitrates and .09 phosphates alk dropped to 7.9 so added 2ml of afr per day, see how that effects it. @kingranch2003 I think turning my lights up was the ticket because my alk was super stable, but not much growth, now im starting to see growth AND alk consumption! That alk dropped was in addition to a 15g water change with RC which usually raises my alk up so seems like a good sign!

Absolutely! Yes, sounds to me like if you're seeing an increase in alk consumption and signs of growth, you've nailed it. Good job paying attention to your tank, and catching that. Im about to have to start dosing, so im interested in how your numbers react. I do biweekly 25% wc's, and that has always kept me stable. Now I'm noticing alk and calium is a bit lower between them.

Those numbers are almost ideal for your coral selection imo. They're excellent if that's what they are consistently

Absolutely! Yes, sounds to me like if you're seeing an increase in alk consumption and signs of growth, you've nailed it. Good job paying attention to your tank, and catching that. Im about to have to start dosing, so im interested in how your numbers react. I do biweekly 25% wc's, and that has always kept me stable. Now I'm noticing alk and calium is a bit lower between them.

I had to start because of my cyano battle, my nutrients were bottomed out, and my alk was at like 5.7 or something so I had to figure out some how to maintain those and stop wc long enough to get my nutrients up. I could possibly get by without dosing if I was faithful to a wc routine but im not haha at least thos way I really only have to worry about nutrients building up and not losing my alk, cal, mag and trace elements as much

Im about to go through with getting a red sea light. 90 reefled specifically. Should i seriously upgrade from my kessils or stay with them? I haven't had significant coral growth almost ever with these guys besides anenomes. What do y'all think?

I don't know anything about reefled. You said kessil(s) as in more than one? I thought you had one 160.

You could get 2 different lights but i've heard good things about kessils but I think the problem with leds and the reason why so many people still like t5 is because of leds tendencies to be very focused and create hotspots/shadows. That said either t5 or led bars would probably do you well. I'm building something to add t5's to my fixture. You could get one of those led/t5 combo fixtures? Less than the two new fixtures and people claim that led t5 combo is amazing

My N03 stays below 10, but my p04 lives between .2 and .4.

It doesn't seem like enough coverage for your size tank to me. Is there an app or a way to adjust schedule intensity? Maybe you could add a 3rd. You'd probably do well to start a thread asking kessil owners for advice. I know kessil people are usually pretty knowledgeable about them. You could also start one on the reefled to see what others think.

I agree, especially about the blades. I recommended AI blades.
