What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I'm closer, I'm only off by one letter, a number of years, skill, -- never mind. Yes.
Man, you were on a roll! I waiting to see what you typed next.

And you're in the right state! Or wrong state depending on how we're looking at it?

Love em both Tim!! How long of a growth period is that!?!? I don't have the GG yet. I picked up a nice chunk of tropicana anacropora. That one was kind of hard to find. It's a creamy pearl with aqua blue polyps, and I think it has a yellow, turquoise hue as it matures.
Oh, this is about a year I think.

Sorry for not being on much... life has just been crazy... and incredibly hot. 94° here, with a real feel temp of 103°. Tank is at 80 degrees, just like the house. I really don't like turning on the AC because of how bad it is for the environment.
Hi Walker, the refrigerant inside the air conditioners is what is bad for the environment, but it never leaves the unit unless there is a very large leak, and that is not very common. As much as I respect your opinion which I do not try to change, I would not want your tank to fail, my friend. The other option is to buy a chiller.

I commend your concern about the AC sir, however, you running your AC will have absolutely no impact. India, Pakistan and China produce over 75% of the worlds pollution. I'm not trying to start a debate or argument. No amount of electric cars, solar, 'green energy' will ever be enough when three countries produce that much.

Guys my berghia from @ReefEngineer arrived this morning and they are fat!! They're bigger than what I ordered and bigger than I thought berghia even got! The cuatomer service with this company, is 2nd to none.

Ill be drip acclimating for salinity and adding them after lights out tonight
Thank you so much for the awesome words. I hope your aiptasia is gone overnight.

@WalkerLovesTheOcean I do I hope I didn't offend you. My first concern is for your comfort and second for your tank sir. If I have, please accept my apologies.

My main concern is with how much energy it pulls. Also, it's expensive to run lol

Yeah, I know but it makes me feel better to know that I do my best to lower emissions

He has one the size of a grapefruit. It'll take a bit longer sir... LOL

I completely understand sir. I do. I try my best as well, but it is quite disheartening when Bangladesh has 79.9 ug/M3 particle pollution produced per year whereas the US has 7.9ug/M3. It is like bailing out the Titanic with a thimble.

Hahaha I have seen bigger aiptasia, but they will definitely take those aiptasia down relatively quickly. Considering the size of the ones he has.

I always hear people talking about tanks that cost more than $5000 in just equipment, but then they have to add the price of the tank plus fish and corals, and I thought my tank was cheap compared to thoses lol
Oddly enough, for me, reefing is on par price wise with my other hobbies. But If someone makes good enough money and wants a $5000 reef, God Bless em!

Tropicana is gorgeous. I HAD one but lost it in the great algae bloom. It is on my list for trying to replace it.
How big did yours Tom? My frag is small and clustered, it hasn't begun to branch yet, but even so, I can tell it is going to be special. I hate to hear that you lost it.

I share your feelings lol, I pay almost $300 for electricity monthly
It’s strange Luis, from the beginning of December until about mid April my ac cost is $0.00, I can’t figure it out. I’ll have to ask my youngest son. 😉
