Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
So I came up with a revolutionary sandwich, I took some inspiration from the Dagwood cartoon, that will change the deli sandwich world! 3 pieces of toast, turkey breast ( stop giggling Keith!), bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise that is held together by toothpicks! I’m going to call it the Turkey Club!
Thats a club I'd join!

at least you don't have to do this for hotdogs 😏

I changed 10 gallons yesterday. I don't remember the last water change I did though...

Also, I was messing around in the tank getting some algae plucked on Thursday and the Birdsnest fell and broke. It's weird, the frag plug top snapped right off the stem. I have a big pile of branches I have to glue now.

Sure looks tiny sitting there missing all those huge branches that fell off...

Just kidding, it's still too big for my tank even after breaking.

Don't look to closely at the sand bed - it's littered with things I need to glue to plugs. Mostly Birdsnest and Digis and Hollywood Stunner...
Every time I see your tank I fall in love again, it's so unique with that lighting and everything is so beautiful, great job my friend

I think to officially call it a club, a pickle is required too. I see no pickle?

kids just microwaved a bag of popcorn. used the popcorn feature even. never saw anything like that before. I guess this is what happens when it expires. expired by a year!

and Potato Chips.

Clubs, BLTs and Grilled Cheese require all three elements to be considered an entree.

Good morning all,

Headed to a Travis Tritt concert tonight.

This is our 1 year old mini-highland bull “Bernie”.

IMG_2549.jpeg
Andre, you should take him with you. Who in their right mind would kick a bull out of a Travis Tritt concert!?

Hi Jill, thanks.

OK man, im going to have to fly you back down here to help me setup my goni garden when they arrive lol. That's one of the finest arrangements Ive seen. It's obvious you are able to achieve long term success in this hobby.

Now I came to the lfs to buy RowaPhos and I bring water to do a test. It seems that I'm going to have to take a test today at home. About 2 weeks ago, the calcium and magnesium levels were a little high and I turned them off on the doser for more than 8 days. Now I check and the test here shows that my magnesium went up above 1800 lol, how?
Do you dose mag and afr separately?

I still test for it as well. Im just saying, according to Randy, the tests are so inaccurate, and the likelihood of magnesium being off to the point of creating problems if your doing regular dosing/water changes, is extremely slim. I'd retest when I got home but not stress too much about it!
Ive read that article Mike, and I think Randy is a genius. However, almost all of the coral suppliers and reefers who have had long term success with lps (especially euphyllia) recommend higher mag levels. One of the best things Ive done for my tank was to start dosing mag. The euphyllia have especially responded to it.
I see a lower level of mag right before a water change, and a rise after one or after I dose. If those numbers react to significant change and are consistent. I can't figure out how that is different than testing any other element.

Only if we can go to Aunt Jenny’s, Tatonut and get a po boy. We used to go to D’Iberville to get po boys but I can’t remember the name of the place.
