Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
No, I dont use any of that stuff. My nutrients are a touch high, but I been working on slowly adjusting that. Only think I could think of is my ato ran dry and I was like 5g low but I have like 150g of total water volume so idk if that would be enough to make a difference or not.
Mike have you checked the salinity. This could very well have something to do with it. Man I feel this one with you bud

Great jams last night and today Joel! Great to see you this morning. Today is my oldest son's 9th birthday. We're taking him to our local AAA baseball team's game today. Ill send you some pics of the field.

Thanks Luis! I will show him this. Believe it or not, I share a lot of Smorgasbord pics with him, and he loves your tank! He'll enjoy a greeting from you :)

hmmm...are you dippng them ?

Hi Luis,

Yes everything is okay just very busy. Thanks for asking.

Well I guess EVERYTHING isn't okay, two of my torches are losing heads and dying. No idea why and no time to worry about it.

Trying to take care of a bunch of stuff around the house and at the parish before Monday. A bunch of stuff has decided to break and I'm going in for a procedure on Tuesday and have no idea what the recovery will be like. When I asked about the risks, recovery, etc. all I got was: 'I've seen worse'.
Sorry Tom, im just catching up to this. We all take pride in our tanks, so we know how it feels to have a loss, especially one that is unexplained. That's enough to deal with on its own. But it sounds like you're trying to take care of your Church and others through it all too. Just remember to take care of yourself as well, brother. In the meantime, I know for sure that these amazing folks will Pray for you and lift you up. It makes such a difference to have this kind of second family support.

Tom, I always have a bottle or two for this very reason. I can also send you some.
Thanks,

I probably should just order some. Back in the 70s and 80s I always had a large supply of medicines around for the tank but now I keep very little around. Cipro seems to be one that is good to have on hand since I can't get it locally without a vet visit.

Do you also recommend the one @kevgib67 recommended in post 74,831?

I'll probably order some tomorrow morning as I only buy things on a Sunday if there is no choice. The Indo Joker is pretty much gone already and I think the gold-tip Indo will be gone within 24 hours. The Cipro is really just in case for the hammers and the blue torch.

I'm thinking a little more clearly today as I learned, from my wife, that I am an idiot. My procedure is on Wednesday not Tuesday. I need that extra day since I have been trying to take care of everything that is heavy work at home or on site work for the parish before Monday night. I was already not going to make it and then the parish office router decided to act up on Friday. It is still talking to the internet but it is also the control software for the entire office/chapel network including the cameras, alarms, and security doors. We did get a replacement ordered but it won't arrive until Monday afternoon. I thought I was going to have to work all night Monday to get it installed and configured. Now I have Tuesday.

I think when I was 12 it snowed in Christmas morning. It was gone by about 9:30 am though.
It snowed for about a half hour in the early afternoon one Saturday in January 1998. Some even stuck on the ground but it was gone by the time we came out of the store. It also hailed twice that I can remember. I blame climate change.
