Yep, but they were small, IDK ( that’s I dig kites for you older reefers) I think because they were planted in the spring. I’ll plant in later fall like I usually do this year.

yeah, spring garlic is always small but that's how you do soft neck. Hard neck 100% fall. Possibly your soil might have been depleted too. I dump in dehydrated chicken manure 2 weeks before planting it, churn, dump in the day I plant churn, then 6" deep, 6" apart. I do mine a little early over here. normally I think it's done 2nd week of November but it's easy for me to associate Halloween with planting it. my guess for you would be sometime 2 weeks before Thanksgiving up to Thanksgiving.

Before reading any further I’m about to use the M word. Every spring I turn the soil and add a layer of mushroom compost and then a layer of topsoil. Definitely going back to the hard neck this fall.

so my leather looks like it's reaching for the light but closed up somewhat. I thought they liked low flow and low light? I have it near the back corner so it's not directly under the light. I am getting some wide spread bubble algae now. unfortunately the Pitho died before I left so will order I think 3 or 4 of those soon. had him for about 2 years and his carapace was the size of a quarter so think he was old. so should I move the leather or leave him alone?

How long has it been like this, and did you notice any mucus / gunk coming off of it? If so, it could just be shedding, and it is a sign that it is healthy.

I went away for a week. Came home yesterday and it was "chubby" looking last night and early this morning. but when the lights came on it just looks like it's reaching for the center of the tank. I dropped a frozen plankton cube in there this morning and fed that as well to some of the other corals/. the Elegance though who has been in a few weeks longer looks phenomal. Goni looks OK. Just walked over to check and it is short and stubby again like steroids. Duncan looks off too but I fed it the red plankton too. Is that because it got fed?
