Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
What do I need to grow them in?
Fill a container with organic soil, no fertilizer, they suggest you bake it in the oven first to sterilize it and kill any nat eggs. I didn’t though but I would if I started over.

And now to make up for that…here’s 2 Wonka Hammers

Haha you couldn't stand to let the ugly pics be the last post you made. Those ridiculous hammers dont even look real brotha... wow

Eat the recalled shrimp from Walmart?
I saw that article lol. Good grief! However, the shrimp I buy fresh off the boat, are $4 for jumbos. That means they are about half the price of Walmart's frozen nuclear shrimp lol

Oh jeez here it goes. My youngest son started dating a young lady when he was a sophomore and she was a junior. She lived in a very small house with her sister and mother that her mother rented. Dad not in the picture. At one point the basement flooded and took out the washing machine and we offered her mother an extra one we had. She never excepted, we think she didn’t want us to see the condition of the inside of the house. At one point we handed her an envelope of cash before Christmas so she could buy the girls presents. So my sons girlfriend started staying at our house every weekend and a night or two during the week and eventually moved in. She went with us as a family member including vacations. After my son graduated and began working HVAC for about two years they moved out and got an apartment three months later he moved home and that was that. 5 years she was part of the family.

My goodness Kevin. What a beautiful story AND a beautiful couple. This was meant to be.

Ok, please stop sending pm’s requesting pictures of my white worm culture. I will have more time once I break down my tank and have more time to spend on my cultures. I was thinking, I try not to do that often because it makes my head hurt, all these worms are eating which means doo doo will be coming out the other end. Eventually it will be full of it and will be detrimental. I’m calling out all of you who were home schooled or went to private school your thoughts on that. Will I just have to keep starting new cultures and throw the poopy cultures out?

I must be doing something wrong. My culture looks nothing like that! Imagine two grains of rice in a 5 gallon bucket of dirt. THAT'S how mine looks....
I think we have too much dirt Keith. Mine are in there, but they're so spread out. I can get somw.good "clumps" out but it's a chore

Bought a gift for my bubble algae. Due next week. Would like to add some blue porcelains but still out of stock. appears seasonal. I have been eyeing an Anthias but still undecided.

Pitho - 3
Emeralds - 6
also added some chiton, trochus and blue legs.
I have to go after bubble algae in my tank also. My one emerald was keeping it at bay, but now I guess he quit eating it because it's taking off. Which crab did you have the best luck with?

Howdy Tom, how are you doing?
Fine but sore in yet more places. I'm home.

Kind of embarrassing. Growing up I never did doctors or hospitals. First time in a hospital was my fourth Kidney Stone. Dropped a car and caught my arms between tire and wheel well, fix: clean rag and some gauze; cement nail broke in half, goes through chin and takes out one third of front tooth, fix; have dentist kill root, cut thumb to bone on dog food can lid, fix; hold it together and bind with scotch tape, you get the idea.

Getting gored by a bull, crashing at 300mph on the salt flats, putting a hot rivet through your hand, these are good reasons to go the ER. Me? I couldn't 💩

I’ve always had success with emeralds but I’ve read multiple times pithos are even better. Sorry I know you weren’t asking me and you have said many times to stop sticking my nose in where it’s not meant to be.

Wait, you used to hit the salt flats!?! I always wanted to make something to run out there.

I have gi issues myself brother. It'll bring you to your knees. Im sure the meds you've had to take lately aren't helping with that, you'll get past this

No that’s a good reason to go, can’t mess with a potential bowl obstruction! I hope you are feeling better.

Lol No way Kevin. I always value your opinion. My single emerald was FANTASTIC at killing BA. I went from quite the issue to never seeing a single piece. I guess he's gotten spoiled on the good food. Ive read the same thing about pithos vs emerald for algae.

It was well beyond potential. When I started to pass out decided ER was only alternative. It was not a fun evening.

I always have emeralds in my tank even though I don’t have bubble algae. I think they are cool looking and they are constantly picking other algae off the rocks.
