Lol No way Kevin. I always value your opinion. My single emerald was FANTASTIC at killing BA. I went from quite the issue to never seeing a single piece. I guess he's gotten spoiled on the good food. Ive read the same thing about pithos vs emerald for algae.

I've always avoided Emeralds but the Pitho I had was both great at his job and entertaining to watch. Highly recommend but like ALL crabs keep an eye on the little bugger.

I have to go after bubble algae in my tank also. My one emerald was keeping it at bay, but now I guess he quit eating it because it's taking off. Which crab did you have the best luck with?

yeah, my pitho only came out at night till his last days. he usually stayed beneath the sand during the day.

I don't think most lfs even have heard of them. RF is where I just got mine and they are a good price. a few other online dealers have them too. but my locals are a know lang with petco.

They always have them. They must have a great invert supplier or something. Just about anything cuc or invert related is usually in stock and we'll priced.

Very lucky. I have found them here once. Most of the LFSs never heard of them but have tanks of Emeralds. One store had two of them once. I bought the male, the female grabbed its carapace and wanted go with it. I should have taken her as well. Anyway, went back about six months later and asked if they were getting any more, they didn't even know what they were, even though they were correctly labeled in the tank. Go figure.

If he hadnt told us, we wouldn't have known about the magnets. He broke a magnetic block and got them out. So yeah, good point, absolutely.
