Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
With all this construction going on, I haven't done a water change in almost 3 months. Now I've done 2 of 15g, and I hope to go back to 10g every 2 weeks.
Sounds good Luis!
I'm all about changing water, I really think it's a good thing for the tank but it might be nice just to change a bit less.

So just throwing this around but I've always had a bad relationship/disdain for chemi pure products.
I'd buy them, use them for 2 days and toss them saying I'm never buying them again.
Well...
And I'm just throwing this up in the air but I bought 2 bags of chemi pure elite and put them in my reactor 2 weeks ago and I'm really pleased.
I'm skeptical of how long they say it lasts but it's been 2 weeks and the water is still crystal clear.
And the cost is pretty much the same as my homemade concoction.

Too many parameters that a water change replaces that are difficult to measure for someone like me who doesn't do ICP test, so for me water changes are key.

Good night everyone! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for getting on R2R lol hugs to you all!
Good night peanut 🥜!
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better R2R day for you!
I've been having a lot of issues as well myself.

Is that like rowaphos? I'm not familiar with that product. Please let us know how it goes.

Agree wholeheartedly my friend.
I seem to have less and less time as I get older lol so water changes are my security blanket.

Just get yourself a helper or are you going to force me to move there to help you? 😉

It's carbon and gfo in its own bag.
The good thing about rowaphos is you can add what you want, this is pre measured, already in the bag.

I will also say that I'm having better results with reef crystals.
Only problem is it takes forever to mix.

Interesting, since I only have one reactor and I use them for RowaPhos, I have never used carbon in the tank, I will continue to pay close attention to how your results go.

Sorry if I missed it, something happened with the Red Sea blue bucket?

No.
I just wanted to try something else.
I still use the blue bucket on occasion, especially if I don't have time to mix the crystals.
Blue bucket is fantastic salt but I'm appreciating the higher alk with the reef crystals, and the price point.

Interesting, at what values does Reef Crystal mix?

My little problem with Red Sea Blue is that it has some parameters that are mixed too low, but I replenish it with the doser, and don't changing to much every time. I do it more for trace elements and other parameters that one doesn't normally check.
