What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?

Good morning Chris! Doing public school math and based on your last post and your first post this morning you are going on just over two hours sleep, if you slept at all. How do you do it, inquiring minds want to know? I’m picturing the last scene of Scar Face.

If I admit to you that you're not far off by thinking of the scene, in that movie you mentioned, then it might paint me in a bad picture. So, no, that's definitely not how I do it! 😆

In reality, where I hate to live, I have not ever slept well. Going all the way back to when I was a yoot. There are a number of reasons for this and none of them are good. Therefore, I'll not get into those now.

I have had multiple sleep studies done and been told, "We're not exactly sure what is going on or why you have the trouble you have with sleeping. We also do not know how you are able to function normally, on a regular, daily basis." A couple of the sleep studies were done for "research."

I have been on every sleep aid known to man. You name it and I have used it. The only thing that helped me was a drug used for schizophrenia and it only became effective at an elevated level. I had to stop using it as it resulted in me sleep-walking and sleep-eating. Long stories associated with both of these things. Every once in a while, my system tells me that it needs rest. When I was younger, I could simply push through this when it happened. As I have gotten a little older, and a  little wiser, I have learned it is in my best interest to heed the need and get the rest being requested. Anyways, probably more than I should have shared but there it is.

last night the wind chill was much colder. -30 up North. you breath in and you nostrils stick together!
Those days are history for some of us.

In case you missed it last night, here’s a pic of the full moon I snapped at 6:05.

The moon did not disappoint as the night rolled on.

it was low on the scale. it was also pretty breezy.
As they say, "Something is better than nothing." Unless, of course, we're talking about some form of disease.

Happy Friday, everyone! Going to be a busy day for me today. I have go to a funeral in just a little bit (wife's uncle's mom), so I am on River duty during the funeral because who knows how long little dude will stay quiet. Then later today have a Christmas parade happening in one of the town's around us. First one of the year, and they are always fun to go to. Busy day, but thankful for every second of it!

Still trying to stick with the winter/Christmas-themed song names or lyrics!

I don’t know what I’d do without my solid 12 hours of sleep!

You know, I was wondering if it was a full moon or not. I noticed it looked brighter than usual yesterday
