[Nor'easter Reefer]

Just find 5 minutes out of your day, my friend, and you'll see the results. Sometimes I do it in the morning before going to work while I have my coffee. Find a scraper that's suitable for the width of your tank's glass, if it's bigger, even better, so the magnet presses harder and cleans better.

Its actually not terrible right now, but works been crazy and that is the first thing that gets neglected lol. I'm sure you can relate to busy with work lol

Ok well I replaced my impeller but I can't figure out the blue screw on the back that screws the filter to the tank. I'm done with Tidal and Hobs. It's time to switch out of this BS.

I'm going to my LFS now, looking for 10 gallons of water and do a test, I'm too lazy to do it at home today. I need alk too, tank is consuming a lot

Of course, my friend, I hadn't done this cleaning that I did today for two weeks, but I was getting annoyed seeing the tank like that. I wasn't enjoying it. Before all this work I've had these past few weeks, I used to do it like I told you, and I just neglected it. But that's not going to happen again. My nitrates are through the roof, and I need to fix that. So, starting tomorrow, cleanings will bedaily or every two days, and I'll be feeding less.

My nitrates are super low and my phosphates are higher so i'm feeding my new CBB i picked up yesterday a bunch of mysis I cant believe hes already picking mysis out of my CBB feeder and actually chasing it out of the water column on day two... Hopefully its enough!

By chance odd question lol if I have a bucket that has this icon on the bottom its a Leaktite 3.5 Gallon Translucent Gray Bucket from Home depot do you think it is reef safe to store saltwater for an AWC system?

It said its not necessarily food safe although maybe that's because they did not pay for the certification you think? It seems like what I have googled says HDPE is usually safe for saltwater but not 100% sure lol

I've only used either buckets the salt came in or restaurant pickle buckets.
Never checked for that symbol.
I've used new brutes for tank transfers, blue Coleman coolers for fish transport, sometimes lined with garbage bags,plastic gallon jugs of frozen water to cool the tank down in the summer and floated gallon ziplocs of ice.
I've never really worried about the plastic as long as it was new and I knew the source.
I'm going to say you're probably okay but I'd never use a bucket from a hardware store without checking it first.

In the middle of a WC. Saltwater is at 1.027 can I even put that in or is it too salty?

Lots of people use the orange home depot buckets without worry Thomas.
I know Luis uses home depot buckets.
If you've got a LFS nearby you can ask them if they've got any extra buckets .
Sometimes they do.
I think you're fine with the home depot buckets just pick some from the middle of the stack and rinse well.

That would be a moyers leapord wrasse. Got him cheap as a "assorted wrasse" from a tank breakdown my LFS brought in. Hes awesome.
