Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
i also have microbator 7 if that helps . I'm not good at this dosing stuff lol i guess i should probably check my levels tomorrow before i start added stuff lol
MB7, used with the paper towel trick, and making sure you have detectable nitrates and phosphates (but not overly high) will do the trick if it's prorocentrum Dinos (and maybe a few other dino types).

If it's Cyano, you'll want to see which nutrient (nitrate, phosphates, or both) is too high and slowly lower that.

If it's something else, we'll need to figure out what's causing it.

+1 to this.
I've gone back to the smaller skimmer and I think I'll go back to just 5 gallon a week changes instead.
I also use a smaller skimmer. I'm using a Tunze 9004 DC which is rated for around 60 gallons at our bio-load.

when i add this stuff do you recommend in the tank or in the back by where the pumps are
I always add it to either a high flow area in the tank or in the return chamber so it gets dispersed into the water column more readily.

I added a dose of each :) I will keep light off and protein skimmer off tomarrow and see how it goes . I also cleaned out my pumps today cause they seemed like they where pumping slow maybe that will help too :) thanks for the help everyone !
So my concern here: Refugium Roids appears to be an algae food for macro algae. If you don't have macros in your tank you potentially are feeding other algaes.

Octopus 110sss.

Guess great minds think alike 😉

If his phosphates were zeroing out I told him to use what he had which in this case he said he had Reef roids not refugium roids “ got to be sure what kind of roids we’re taking about lol 😆 ” he needs a decent way to test the phosphates and keep them to .05 to 1. As far as his his nitrates I don’t know .

Not even sure what refugium roids are ?

Reef roids are high in phosphates . Until he could get to the store being it’s Christmas Eve I told him to use this .

I've kind of been slacking at checking my numbers too . not sure the last time i checked them . Ill check them tomorrow for sure . also i just have API right now . cant afford hanna right now sorry
API isn't great for phosphates.
