My corals get a mix of reef roids, zeobak, zeozym, macrobacter 7, Red Sea AB+ and Tropic Marin Trace A & K. For two of the feedings I add a small amount (pea size) of "The Concoction" which is sold by a VERY experienced and knowledgeable reefer. It is basically what I mix up to feed, but it has been fermented so there is a ton of probiotics along with the gut loaded bacteria to feed the corals and increase bacterial biome.

I feed the fish either Spectrum pellets, spirulina flakes or Rod's Original frozen food.

That’s crazy I love mashed potatoes and corn with about every meal . Steak . Chicken, pork chops , fish , rock shrimp , etc . I have it then I pick another vegetable. Oh and don’t forget the gravy ohhhhh ! . I don’t eat that much but what a good combination !!

Yes! Every time he posts his tank, Im thinking, "my friend is way to humble about his tank". Im trying to wrap my head around Rock's feeding method. I think I've about got it!

Ok I have taken a screen shot so I can order all that stuff! Right now I have been doing the RedSea AB+ and coral cane twice a week.

What do you guys think had more to do with coral growth lighting or feeding? Just curious because I always thought zoas would grow fast but so far none of the ones in my big tanks have. Now my small one that has two kinds of zoas in it have had a lot of growth. They both get fed basically the same but the light on the small one is probably much higher par since it's a small tank.

Are they the same type of Zoas in both tanks? I have some zoas that grow like crazy and others that I feel like take forever to grow. I have one type of Zoa that wants over 200+ par and I have others that like closer to 50 par. I feel like Zoa's prefer a bit dirtier water and want good trace elements as well so if you have something like GSP or Xenia or leathers they can be outpaced by other faster growing corals absorbing too much of those trace elements.

I’m thinking it’s probably both but on the other hand I have utter chaos which hasn’t gotten more starts recently but the flowers have gotten bigger .

Yeah its kind of like with Stratospheres for normal people (other than @tbrown and his magical concoction of (Tabasco sauce, tap water, & Oganesson) they usually take forever to grow or just melt away for majority of people.

I feel like it just depends on the type of Zoa a lot.

Sorry if I missed it, where do you keep your nitrates and phosphates at?

I have same issue with zoa's, they're slow but mushrooms and leathers are not an issue. I feed heavy though, I'd like to think it's a dirty tank.
