Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?

@kevgib67 this might be helpful for you. I can't remember how many gallons your new tank is but this is what Google gave me for dosing 125 gallons. My plan is to mix a liter or maybe 2 at a time in a water picture that we don't use and then pour the daily dose into an old AB+ cup that I have since it measures in ml.

Thank you Amanda, very helpful. How are you going to store it?

Yesterdays haul, I will mount everything today. I am going to go pick up the 24k grail later too. Does anyone know what kind of blasto this is?
Good morning Mike, beautiful haul! I have Four but none that color, not sure I’ve seen a blasto that color.

good morning!! yeah this one was hidden away, he went into the back for it haha

Seems to take a lot of stirring to mix it well so I'm going to order these. I mixed 10 minutes with an electric wisk then 10 minutes by hand with a big spoon before it was somewhat clear like it said it should be in a video I watched.

In a small water jug that has a lid
I keep my magnesium and sodium bicarbonate extras in the plastic one gallon distilled water jug from Doller General, make sure you take a sharpie and label the lid

I have the same mixer, I also ordered a 1 gal beaker, works great save time and effort

I guess I will be building my own all in one, I have everything except the socks, I will fabricate a holder. I watched this video and seen the basic design needed.

I might should have went with the bigger beaker but I guess I can always just mix two batches if need be when I get an idea of how much I will need to actually dose daily to get my levels where I need them. Seems like I read once you mix it you can store it for 30 days.
