It is a simply stunning day here!!! I managed to walk one lap around the parking lot which us .25 miles before I started hurting. I sat on one of the picnic tables they have for us here and took a short break then managed to do another lap. Hopefully I won't pay for it in a bit with more pain than usual for my back and leg. Its just so nice with the sun and a light breeze outside I couldn't help myself.

How are you Tom?
I'm doing well Amanda, I finally kicked the cold or whatever it was. I joined you and Wes and Tim and seemingly everyone else with back issues last week but there is just a dull pain at my right kidney leftover, should be gone by tomorrow.

I'm glad to hear that your back seems to be improving. You're in my prayers. It's wonderful that you could go for a walk today.

How do you like your new brine shrimp hatchery? My simple BRS one is churning out baby brine two or three times a day. I just use one scoop of eggs and it takes about 12-14 hours to get the first hatch and then I can do a small harvest every 4-6 hours until about 60 hours then I add another scoop of eggs and repeat. After two fillings I dump the water, rinse the unit, add new water and a scoop and start over. The Springer Damsels love them.

I'm really glad you are feeling better! I love the hatchery just not the stand it came with. I hatch a batch every other day or so to feed my tanks. I am trying to grow some out the last two times didn't go well but hopefully third times a charm and this batch in the grow out makes it.

I decided not to do a brine grow out tank right now. I'm trying to dial in the frag tank and fix some issues, like the failed doser, instead of undertaking anything new.

I’m sorry it was rocky who mention Ranco . Is that a better controller ?
Ranco are commercial grade, so yes, quite a bit better to be honest.

Hello Amanda! Glad to hear that. It's sunny and probably 50 degrees here... we are getting warmer... slowly!

Hello Smorgs and Smorgettes!
I will attempt to go back and catch up a little bit. We switched to a new Electronic Heathcare Software program a couple weeks back and the transition has been a dumpster fire. A lot of the information from the old system hasn't migrated over and is lost somewhere in the Netherworld! So, on that note, I have been quite busy with juggling information/charting/ordering on both systems.

Very well said my friend! It was the only thing that the hospice nurse administered that helped eased my dad's pain near the end of his cancer battle.
Oh wow Amanda, so that whole subject hit home with you in a personal way. If it's handled correctly and responsibly, it can certainly improve a sick person's life without some of the repercussions of pharmaceuticals. Thank you for sharing that my dear. ❤️

Good morning Smorgasbord family!!!! Its Friday Eve and my wonderful hubby's birthday! He always says i give him too much for gifts and I always feel like I don't give him enough. Tonight I will be cooking him his favorite meal of fried cubed 🦌 and cream style corn.
Happy Birthday to him! A delicious supper made by his honey !? That's all a fella could ever ask for.

Its a labor of love! I wish we were taking the day off work to be together but he's going to be building a ramp at our church for people to get up on the stage. Our preachers wife now has to be in a wheel chair and she hasn't been able to go up and sing in the choir since she's started having to use the chair.
That's a good man.

I could've written that exact same paragraph to outline my experience with it as well. Good to know that you do a second hatch in the same water, that'll keep me from having a brine shrimp gap lol
