It has been rough seeing her suffer. The helplessness of it all is the worse. I want to fix it. The first doctor was awful. Broke her bones saying that cartilage would form and cushion her issues. Then put in a plate. Then ankle replacement. She could not move her ankle after that at all. My husband's physical therapist said he tried to help her. But the hardware wouldn't budge! She have at least moved like an ankle.

Now 3 surgeries later. She said it feels better already. At one point those darn plate screws were pushing their way out. You could see them underneath the skin! And the swelling was awful.

I'm sorry you're going through this with your daughter. My wife broke all 3 of her ankle bones (that's the most you can break) in August of 2024 and had surgery in September 2024. She just walked in the door 5 minutes ago complaining about how much her ankle hurts - even after a year and a half post surgery.

I don't have the X-ray saved on my phone anymore but she has about a 7" long plate and 12 screws.

You are correct. All that twisting was to much. Baby steps. Hire a cleaner to come sweep and mop. No shame in a little help. Ice Take it easy. (I don't listen to my advice either)

My wife has joined all of you with an injured back and WILL NOT slow down either.

We women stick together. I broke my foot and ankle jumping a small gate. Went to zumba anyway. It was epic. The coloration swirling up my ankle.

Sounds like my kiddo. So sorry. I looked and couldn't find the photo of her first ankle replacement.
