Got some corn comming in also.

I've tried that and never had good results with corn. even bought the planter friendly type. I always thought you needed "a lot" of stalks so they fertiiize each other in the wind which is why the stalks at the edge of the fields are stunted. I only have garlic, squash and cucumbers this year. will grow more once I get the boat out of the garage and can run the greenhouse again.

Good Morning Peeps. last water change I forgot to turn off the ATO as usual.
the Osmo 2 had an audible alarm, the Osmo 3 does not. I so miss that. dropped to 1.022 and for the past 5 days I shut the ATO off to slowly bring it back up. today I just got down to low enough that I was get air bubbles mixing in with the return pump. but I'm back to 1.026 so I added salt water replacement at 1.026 and balanced. turn ATO back on and it didn't dispense. found that being dry for several days had creep on the eye. washed and everything seems fine.

Yes blocks work better.
For single runs like this 10 plant in an 18×48 box you pollinate by hand.
In the morning when its calm, no wind, you shake the stalk and the pollen drops straight down onto the corn pollinating it.
Give it a try if you only want 20 cobs it works well.

For single runs like this 10 plant in an 18×48 box you pollinate by hand.
In the morning when its calm, no wind, you shake the stalk and the pollen drops straight down onto the corn pollinating it.
Give it a try if you only want 10-20 cobs it works well.

I tried that in a 48"x48" raised bed. I also tried in a planter of 8. from what I remember I only got a small amount but used the stalks for decorating the mailbox at Halloween.

You won't get much unless you polinate by hand like I mentioned.
In a small run I can get them all to polinate. With that method you can watch the pollen fall onto the corn.
The key is it must be dead calm for the pollen to fall straight down.

Hahaha That's because im suffering from brain damage bc of the time I fell off of a 4 wheeler and was subsequently run over by my friend. I've been over by a lot of different vehicles now that I take stock! My personality is starting to make more sense isn't it?
