Morning reefers!
How many reefers here run a halide system? I know there are a few.
Im liking my back to the future 112 halide system I started 3 months ago.
Ext 112 growout system.

I ran halides years ago. I am actually switching back to halides and selling the Meridians. I'm just not happy with LED lights... to much blue, spectrum is wrong and over uses blue too much, etc, etc...
I still need to pick your brain about building a 8020 mount for the halides.
I have two caymen sun reflectors and M80 ballasts coming. I also picked up two old school Lumenarc reflectors just to have on stand by or.... a frag system.

Nothing quite compares to MH for a reef. I miss the look but not the heat.

I gave mine away, along with everything else, on my last move. It hurt a little when I started back up thinking of all the stuff I had to rebuy until I remembered the guy I gave it to has a really nice, and fairly large, family, great enthusiasm for the hobby, and not much disposable income. Last time I talked to him was about a year and a half ago and he was still rocking a tank. I know if I ever want MH again there is a ton of used stuff at Discount Aquarium.

The Tunze Aquawind keeps the system 3-4° below room temp.
I am looking to purchase halide reflectors if anyone wants to get rid of them.
Lumenbite is preffered. Let me know.

I worked with a guy from South Carolina. He put a winter coat on when it went below 70. Albeit he was a skinny person , thin as a rail….

12mm, bottom is 15mm.

What MH do you have Tim?

I think it's an old Coralife 250 or 350. It's the MH plus 2 T5HO and two LED moonlights if I recall. I had it over my old 75 and it put out some heat.
