Good morning everyone! I slept in a bit this morning it was a hard week with a very emotional day at work yesterday and I was exhausted. We have an interpreter at work that was brought to the US illegally when she was a small child and this country is all she knows. When the DACA program started many years ago she got a lawyer and managed to get a permit to work and be here legally and she has to renew it every 2 years. Her current renewal paperwork is still pending even though she submitted it a long time before she needed to. This is due to current government wanting to do away with the program which the Supreme Court finally has to rule on. In the meantime the ones incharge cut back on personnel and funding and just a bunch of political crap. Since her status is still in pending they have to terminate her employment as of 8/18. It was such an emotional day with a lot of us crying with her and praying for her. I'm not trying to be political or have a discussion on politics but what is happening with her is wrong. She's doing everything that's asked of her by them, she's never done anything illegal other than being brought here as a child which was not in her control. Anyways sorry for the long post hope it doesn't offend anyone my heart is just heavy for her and her family.
