Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Slowly, I’ve had some interest but nothing going anywhere so far. I’m being very selective when applying, I don’t want another long commute but I’ll open up the prospects as time goes by. Probably going to have a long commute again unless I get called back to my previous job, fingers crossed.
We're all pulling for you big time, Kevin. Your positivity through it all is very inspiring. I think it's a super human character trait, honestly.

I don’t understand why whenever someone posts that they are having trouble with gha sea hares aren’t automatically mentioned. When I do mention it I also bring up that they need to be addressing the problem causing the gha problem as well.
The only problem I have with Sea Hares is that they are too efficient, unless you have a tank much larger than I could ever afford, it quickly wipes out all of the algae. Then what do you do with the Sea Hare unless you have reefing buddies in the are?

Question: I haven't owned a Sea Hare in decades and I didn't have bubble algae at the time so I don't know: Do they eat bubble algae as well?

I think theyre just so foreign to most people. Ive never seen one in an lfs or anything like that. Honestly, I wouldve never thought about them if it wasn't for you Kev. But honestly, I agree. I havent even seen him in person, but I have never experienced anything like this vs algae.

My son and I swap it from my 105g and his 55g, been doing it for almost a year. At times when both tanks are too clean he supplements it with nori or wafers. Since they aren’t expensive some people rehome it or return it to their lfs. I haven’t heard of them used for bubble algae, I don’t think so. Both my son’s tank and mine were bubble algae free.

My lfs carries them occasionally or will order one on request. I remember when I saw one the first time I had to ask what in the love of god it was.

Or I could be a professional hit man and your wife could hire me as my first client?

ChippendaI'll send you a check.
Or I could give the Chippendales a call and see if they would take me back. That’s how I paid for undergraduate school?
