Well if I’m using actual live rock, I see no need. And I think I’d go the microbacter 7 way otherwise. The grunge may work fine but I’ve never tried it myself.

I was thinking of using it in my new tank im setting up. It's a frag tank setup, so there's little or no live rock going into the display. I will probably have some in the AIO chambers though.

It kicked a bucket unfortunately. None of those three made it. Ironically, once again , the PetCo fish were robust and healthy

The reason I ask is, you may want to space those out as im fairly certain there's at least a small difference in alk and ph between NSW and the synthetic water in your tank. I couldn't say how much, or if it's even significant enough to make a difference without testing. I have made enough 5 gallon changes slowly that my tank is closer to those numbers. Just throwing that out there, you've got this!

John can you go to the beach and get your wet sand ? What would be the difference?

Fresh water runoff, sun block, glass, gas and oil fumes from beach patrol etc.

Now if I go out to the islands or of shore a bit, it would be fine, but I prefer a bit more coarse, crushed coral type sand for this build.

Sorry to hear it. I have found that lighting is very important in my tank. And these softies grow well under popbloom lights at the clinics tank I care for.

Im pretty sure that's the light my wife has over her tank. It really is a great light from what I've seen.

I love burgers. Have tried all kinds. My least favorite was ostrich. Gristly. Elk was delish as is buffalo and yak. But nothing is better than Wagyu beef. Yum

Thanks. The frag zone dry rock chunks plus the harvested sand really complete the look. I’ve used polymer frag racks before but push come shove I’ll go with ones that look like rocks. And yeah, I like having caves/tunnels for fish and other critters.

I have a ton of their shelves, theyre fantastic!

Thanks Shelley, it will be fun with my boys. My youngest doesn’t have a tank but if you talk to him you would swear he was a seasoned reefer. He told me today after he got home from he’s bringing $1000 for corals for my tank. He lives vicariously through my tank without the work.

All I can say to that is what a blessing. I hope my boys stick with me like that when they're big like yours.

It was last spotted 2 weeks ago when I was in the hospital, my son saw it come out and grab some mysis when he was feeding and quickly return to its cave. I’m wondering if it to another cave perhaps in the back of the scape on the other side and I’m focusing on the wrong area.
