Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Goodnight folks! I hope everyone's tanks are thriving. It was a hard and expensive learning experience after The Great Aiptasia/GHA Wars of '26, but I feel like The Back 40 is back on track. Make the changes you feel you need to!

You are already on the team my friend! Seems you skipped a state though! 😉
I am sure I drove through it. 😂
Yep near the back :(
I was so sad to see it. But it worked out for the best. Sunny is in a larger home. And Beaker will put on weight. He has started to eat freezed dried black worms recently.
I'm thinking of adding a rainbow or pink frag to my tank. I love the amazing coloration and movement. Do you have pics of that one?
Only one I could find.

Beautiful John. I think I may have caused a setback by accidentally using phyto that may have gone bad. My chalice had retracted and the skin was gone from the skeleton by the end of the day. Worst is I don’t really know if it was that due to not smelling rancid. Other corals were not looking their current best and nem had pulled back a bit. I’m buying 4 containers of the ocean water at PetCo. See if I can right the ship. Something definitely going on as water was cloudy looking.

Sorry to hear this. Hopefully you can right it.

When I hear about things like that it makes my blood boil. I worked at Animal Rescue League of Boston for 4 months . I had to quit because of what I saw.
I feel like an animal rescue sometimes. All of our current 3 dogs and one cat are rescues. Almost didn't get to have Asuna. Gal thought we had chicken wire for a fence! Nope she was looking at a trellis with a clematis growing on it. And even if we did. At least she would be out of a cage with me! Yeah people are cruel.
The first 2 cats my wife and I had lived to approximately 14. Cleo we lost after she somehow snuck into the basement and got hurt by being too curious and getting caught in neighbors tools and such falling on her head. And Mika started life with a heart murmur but what we lost her from was failing kidneys. I really miss those girls. They just loved both of us and vice versa, though my wife always would say that I was their main person. Xena is a bit of a wild child although she’s started to sleep by my feet these days.
😂 I think she likes the smell of feet! 🦶 Sara is our last cat. They live so long and we are both 66 now. Unless we get a geriatric cat.

Cats are safer if they are indoor cats. It just doesn't always work. We have a dog door and the cat figured it out faster than any dog.

We took in my mother in laws cat when he passed. We said goodbye to him at 24. He had diabetes. And other ailments. It was time. She had literally rescued him as a kitten. He was tied to a lamppost.
Here this is for you. I have other personalized ones I will be up loading later

Not sure if I posted this yet. We have the library ladder install figured out. And all 3 dogs napping. Just have to add these large black screws into the Hickory board tomorrow.

I took water samples home from the clinics tank. Was a bit shocked. I knew the phosphate was high. Been working on that. But the alkalinity was only 3.7 I will have to address that. I have never used a doser. Not even sure where to start.

Aw, love it. And she is a cuddle bum. She has been eating lots of soft food the last 3 days.
Xena is most likely the last unless for whatever reason I had take in a second. I’m in the same ballpark wise as I’m officially 63 on Friday.

So true. And my birthday was the 5th. So 3 years apart. And cats are notoriously built to trip us humans. I would hate for one of my pets to finish their live in a shelter or worse. When we took my mother in laws cat we also took in her Shi tzu.

I’ve known a number of people in my life’s travels that had Shi Tzus . Wonderful small dogs.
I’ve been thinking about the tank. If this near total change doesn’t help, i would consider a hard restart. See what happens
