Agreed. I have a purple stylo and rainbow stylo on top of a bimini. They get 400+ easily. The purple is almost to the water line, so the PAR is even higher.

Funny. When Maggs was a kitten I would feed her in bed from a tupperware container. The other 2 cats would steal her food.
Now at night if she wants food she will tap my ear with her paw.
If that does not work she will rip across the bed a few times to get my attention.
This occurs every few days, lol.

Stability is the key.
After many years I have settled with an alk range of 7-8. 7.5 target.
In this system the addition of kalk 24/7 @ 4mlm keeps my low ph above 7.9. Prior it dipped to 7.6.
Once I got it corrected all corals showed better growth.
Stability of whatever #'s you run wins.
