Hi All,

I am down to the last stages of setting up my tank and Im almost ready for water. My tank returned from a local LFS with two holes drilled ready for 1" bulkheads. I bought 2x slip/slip bulkheads some 1" PVC pipe. However, 1" pipe doesn't fit inside the bulkhead, only 3\4". Seeing that the thread on the outside of the bulkhead is only for the nut, is there any way I can use these bulkheads for 1" pipe.

I am planning on running the 1" herbie overflow with one full siphon drain and a emergency into my sump, with a 3/4" return from a mag 9.5 pump.

thanks for your time,

Duncan

On my tank, I either a 1" or 1 1/4" pvc pipe and adapters to bring it down to 3/4" for the bulkhead - durso style overflows are suppose to be whisper quiet and part of that is using a pipe that is larger than the bulkhead drain.

initially I had used a 3/4" before I re-read the durso instructions...I redid the pipe portion and it did make it a little more quiet...
