Sept 30th is one year of my 120 reef. Many of you folks have provided me with valuable information regarding this insane hobby. I tip my hat to the best place to learn.

Amazing what you do to keep your sand so clean and white
I gradually built up a strong cleaning crew 2 sand sifting stars, 2 fighting conchs and a bunch of nassarius snails. I also have a refugium, media reactor with Rowa phos and big skimmer. I found managing the phosphates and nitrates to be challenging for a mixed reef, but also the best way to keep the sand and glass clean. Some times I will carefully stir a small section of sand too.
