DAY 37
Alright so daily update of parameters, also I caved and bought a small amount of quality liverock to help establish a better bacteria as my little bacteria buddies are quite slow :( although on bright side my utter annoying bacterial bloom is gone, and tank is looking very nice!

DAY 40!
Slowly but sure chugging along... nothing has changed parameter wise. Just a massive waiting game!!! Ugh I have decomissioned my UV sterilizer so we will see if that impacts that long lasting bacterial bloom I had for awhile.

Haven’t bothered posting daily parameters because nothing has changed... quite annoying.

One thing to note is that my tank has been thriving, oddly enough. I have struggled with a bacterial bloom since day 1 and for the whole month of july I stared at a cloudy tank. For me personaly I couldn't take it after the mid way through the fourth week I bought a UV sterilizer. It rocked. Within a week my bacterial bloom was gone and I could finally enough and empty crystal clear tank. I have since then decommissioned the UV sterilizer and the tank has even got clearer. I will periodically use the uv when needed. Here are some progression pics

Alright so I have made a equipment upgrade/change. I switched out the reef glass protein skimmer for a K1 nano protein skimmer only complaint this thing is throwing millions of micro bubbles all across my tank...

Also here are the daily updates parameters are still the same ugh....

That seems like an awful long time for it to be cycling. Both my nuvo 10 and 20 only took about 2-3 weeks to cycle with biospira and dr Tim's one and only. Have you considered a partial water change just to see if your cycle is stalled due to too much ammonia/nitrites?

Alright update! I ended up getting a smoking deal on this brand new XR-15 and light bracket. So I just hooked up and I am very pleased. I have come to the conclusion that The IceCap Gyre may be far to powerful for my little nano. So I am looking into selling it or trading it for an MP-10 yes I got the Ecotech bug!

Very nice! I have an xr15 with an mp10 on my nuvo 10 and I love them both. I'm running my xr15 with the ab+ program at 30% intensity. My mp10 runs between 5-15% with a mix of reefcrest, gyre, lagoon modes but you need the reeflink in order to do that.

Also upon inspection in my reactor which is serving as kind of like a make sure refugium. There is life all over it! I saw copepoda all over it. This is great as my tank is becoming more hospital towards life. Slowly getting a break through!!!! Also there is crazy looking sponge stuff growing in there.. no idea what it is. Pics for reference
