Hey All,

I have always been a lover of aquariums, and I thought it was time I build my first saltwater tank.
This is going to be a long one but I hope to have steps 1-7 completed by Christmas.

I guess should give a little background about me, I am a programmer of 10 Years with an IOT background in Electronics and circuit design.
Kinda picked up alot of odd skill sets growing up in the country and going to a Technical collage.
Looking forward to joining the Reef community and ready for the challenge.

So Sit back, and enjoy the ride guys, and please comment and chime in if you have any recommendations thoughts or considerations.

Scope of Works.
  1. Build Aquarium Stand
  2. Build Aquarium Hood
  3. Under coast 1-3 Primer.
  4. Paint High Glass Enamel
  5. Build Aquarium Sump
  6. Build Automatic Water Top up system
  7. Build Automatic Water Change System
  8. Build Auto Filter Sock Roller
  9. Build Custom Reef-Pi Unit
  10. Construct Custom Circuits to Deal with Equipment

So I scored a really nice curved 100 gal aquarium off Gumtree for $150,
Ditched the cabinet and Canopy as they were well ugly as hell!

I started By Drilling two 33mm Holes into the tank before getting started just on the off chance it exploded as i was unsure if it was toughened or plate glass.

Phew with that out of the way there was no time to loose!

I Started construction on the cabinet itself.

The canopy is actually bolted to the wall so the tank can slide in and out.

I made a 20mm lip run over the crappy plastic trim on the tank to make it more of a seamless look.
I installed soft close cabinet hinges with push to touch to make it a little more modern.
