Any idea on what I can do to get this stupid piece of glass that the last owner of this tank decided to silicone over the two pre drilled holes and remove the black baffle..... Can I run this with just a durso and no baffle?

Pay off one corner of the glass was cracked so they smeared more silicone on it.. I'm just really worried.

Any advise. Currently I'm using a retractable razor blade...

Well I still don't think I'm going to give up on this being a reef tank. The bottom seals are all intact it looks like they just added some spacers with some silicone which will be just covered in sand anyways I'm going to fill it in the garage and do a leak test for a week and see how it goes

i do too...and if you can save it that would be cool. without knowing what the logic was with the extra glass bits on the bottom it makes me real leery of its success somewhere that i care about the flooring

I was able to track down and talk to the previous owner and just to inquire if he had the baffle he said no when he had bought the tank brand new he didn't like the holes in the bottom because he was just keeping bearded dragons so the tanks never had water.

His explanation for the extra plexiglass on the bottom edges was the glass covering the holes made it uneven so he had to even it out...lol
.

Overall I hit a pretty big score with this because this is one of 11 tanks that I picked up for free.
4 x 10 gal
2 x 40 gal
1 x 55 gal
3 x 20 gal
1 x 100 gal

I already have 120 upstairs and the wife gave me permission to build a fish room downstairs
