11F150's Reef Savvy Cube Build

Looking good!

Lol yeah. I starting making a list. Was going through some fish that I think I could house, at least for a while. Most of the listed fish are 90 gal or less according to what they were listed as on a few websites. I wont get all of these but they are ones Ill keep in mind.

TOMINI BRISTLETOOTH TANG
powder blue tang
kole tang
purple tang
chevron tang
Blue Caribbean Tang
clowns
chroms

I would stick to maybe 2 small tangs. Especially the Chevron and Purple Tangs!:eyebrows:

yeah of course the most expensive ones haha. I like the chevrons, just wish they didnt change as adults but they are still nice.

Small update. Tank is clearing up from the sand storm I had.

Love how clean it is. :)

Looking good! How did you hang and level your canopy?

I measured all the hooks on the canopy itself then marked them on the ceiling where I wanted the strings to come down at. I used a stud finder and made holes as close as I could to where it would match up perfect and still be drilled in a stud. Its not leveled because it can raise up and down by just lifting and pulling on it for cleaning, thats what those black balls are you see hanging from the ceiling. But you can eyeball it pretty good.

Kole tang or Chevron Tang.. probably the Chevron since he'll look like a Kole tag when he gets older anyway but really cool colors when a juvi. also would go a pair of Picasso's or Phantoms/Black Snowflakes. a school of Chromis would look awesome but might pick each other once they get older. mixed experience from different reefers. some have successfully kept a group and some only end up having a pair or a single. good thing Chromis aren't too expensive. have you thought of other fishes to add? maybe some flasher and/or fairy wrasses?

Thanks! I really havent thought of any other fish yet. I would really like to have 2 nice tangs (purple and chevron most likely), I want 2 black/white clowns for sure. A few chromis and Ill have to look into some wrasses here in a bit.

awesome. let us know if you decide on any F&F wrasses. they are really cool fishes. :)

sounds good. FA I heard can be mean so great idea on adding him last. :)

Yeah thats what I was thinking...If I put him in with an entire setup tank it might make him a bit timid.

Update: Just tested my water and I have ammonia from the shrimp now.

I think if he's one of the last ones in, he'll be fine.
